Volleyball Game Preview: Washington Union Panthers vs. Immanuel Eagles

For the first time this season, Washington Union will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They are taking a road trip to face off against the Immanuel Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Washington Union is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak.

Washington Union lost 3-0 to Reedley on Monday.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-21, 25-18.

Meanwhile, it was close, but on Monday Immanuel sidestepped Kingsburg for a 3-2 victory. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Vikings recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Immanuel wouldn't go down easily and took Kingsburg into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. The final score came out to 25-21, 21-25, 22-25, 25-22, 15-13.

Immanuel's victory bumped their record up to 12-14. As for Washington Union, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-18-1.

Washington Union couldn't quite get it done against Immanuel when the teams last played back in October of 2023 as they fell 3-1. Can the Panthers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
