Basketball Recap: Valor Academy Piles Up the Points Against Lakeview Charter

Valor Academy won the last time they faced Lakeview Charter and things went their way on Monday too. Valor Academy took their game with ease, bagging a 65-21 victory over Lakeview Charter. With Valor Academy ahead 35-9 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

Valor Academy had a senior duo take command as Maliqq Van Arsdale almost dropped a double-double with 17 points and nine assists and Maliqui Van Arsdale dropped a double-double with 23 points and 12 rebounds. The contest was Maliqq's sixth in a row with at least 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Agustin Lugo, who posted seven points and five steals.

Valor Academy was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

The win made it two in a row for Valor Academy and bumps their season record up to 3-1. The team dominated over those games too, winning by an average of 32 points. As for Lakeview Charter, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.
