Volleyball Recap: Fremont Comes Up Short

Fremont extended their losing streak to four on Saturday, dropping them down to 5-20. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Prairie Heights Panthers. The Eagles were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Panthers earlier this season, when they won 3-1.

As for Prairie Heights, they moved to 6-21 with that victory, which also ended their four-match losing streak. The game was the first time they have beaten Fremont on their court since September 23, 2021.

Prairie Heights' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Chloe Kintz, who had 12 digs and two aces. That's the most aces Kintz has posted over her last six matchups.

Coming up, Fremont will face off against Fort Wayne Canterbury at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Prairie Heights, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Churubusco on the 11th.
