After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Climax-Scotts, Mendon was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They walked away with a 46-37 win over the New Buffalo Bison. The victory continues a trend for the Hornets in their matchups with the Bison: they've now won six in a row.

Despite the defeat, New Buffalo saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Peyton Swain shot 45% from the field en route to 16 points and six boards. Allyson Cardenas also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Mendon's win bumped their record up to 11-9. As for New Buffalo, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-10 record this season.

Mendon has already played their next match, a 48-40 loss against Colon on the 27th. As for New Buffalo, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 36-15 defeat against Bridgman on the 27th.
