Baseball Recap: Montclair's Losing Streak Snapped at Five Games

Montclair had lost five games straight , but after bumping their record up to 6-9 on Tuesday that streak is in the rearview. Everything went their way against the Glen Ridge Ridgers as they made off with a 14-4 victory. The Mounties not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 12th (when they won 17-7).

As for Glen Ridge, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season. As for they, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-9.

For Glen Ridge's part, Matt Bayne made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Montclair will take on Seton Hall Prep at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Glen Ridge, they will square off against North Bergen at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
