Basketball Game Preview: Neshoba Central Rockets vs. Warren Central Vikings

The Neshoba Central Rockets will head out to face off against the Warren Central Vikings at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Last Tuesday, Neshoba Central earned a 60-51 win over Callaway. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Rockets.

Meanwhile, Warren Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They took a 70-62 hit to the loss column at the hands of Columbus. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 102nd, while the Falcons are ranked first).

Warren Central's defeat dropped their record down to 5-14. As for Neshoba Central, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 11-12 record this season.

Neshoba Central was able to grind out a solid victory over Warren Central in their previous meeting two weeks ago, winning 55-42. The rematch might be a little tougher for Neshoba Central since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
