Softball Recap: Clovis Comes Up Short

Clovis lost against Portales two weeks ago, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Wildcats lost 12-2 to the Rams. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jazlynn Chavez-Marin made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Amor Soto, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Clovis' loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Portales, they pushed their record up to 5-4 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Rams beat Clovis by a score of 11-1 later that day.
