Baseball Recap: Skyline Comes Up Short

Skyline was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 31-11 to the Ellinwood Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 20-6 on Friday.

Skyline saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Owen Flora, who scored two runs and stole four bases while going 3-for-3. Those hits were Flora's first of the season. Another was Aaron Lucas, who scored two runs and stole two bases.

Skyline's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Ellinwood, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-4.

Coming up, Skyline will face off against Chaparral at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Ellinwood, they will welcome Ellsworth at 4:00 p.m. on the 14th.
