Batavia barely beat Glenbard North the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Bulldogs claimed a resounding 41-13 win over the Panthers. The victory continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won nine in a row.

Batavia's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Michael Vander Luitgaren led the charge by throwing for 165 yards and three TDs. What's more, Vander Luitgaren racked up 134.4 passer rating, the most he's had since back in November of 2024. Batavia also got a significant boost from Preston Brummel, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 103 yards.

Batavia was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 240 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Glenbard North only rushed for 95 rushing yards.

Glenbard North's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Donato Gatses, who rushed for 82 yards and one touchdown. Another player making a difference was Kyle Melody, who threw for 188 yards and one TD.

Batavia now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Glenbard North, their loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-1.
