Volleyball Recap: First Assembly Christian Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for First Assembly Christian, who bounced back after a loss on the road two weeks ago. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Southern Christian Patriots on Thursday. The Lions haven't had any issues with the Patriots recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-14, 19-25, 25-15.

When it comes to explaining why Southern Christian lost, don't look at Maddy Smith. Despite the final result, she had five digs and two aces.

The win got First Assembly Christian back to even at 1-1. As for Southern Christian, their defeat was their 17th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-5.

First Assembly Christian will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Victory Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on September 8. As for Southern Christian, they will challenge East Central HomeSchool at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
