Trey Scheler Earns League's Top Spot
Starting off the list is Cheyenne Wells's Trey Scheler, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Scheler rushed for 182 yards and four touchdowns on only six carries. He didn't just play on offense: he also picked up a sack and made four total tackles in addition to snagging an interception.
The win for Cheyenne Wells keeps them at an undefeated 5-0. Scheler and Cheyenne Wells will challenge Eads at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Big Game from Winder As Eads Won 40-38
Shaine Winder continued his hot streak on Friday by dropping his third-straight game (dating back to last season) with at least 146 rushing yards. He rushed for 233 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 9.0 yards per carry.
Unfortunately for Cheraw, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Winder. Winder rushed for 125 yards and a touchdown the last time he and the Wolverines duked it out back in September of 2023.

Maddox Coleman Goes Supernova in Granada Loss
Maddox Coleman put up the most rushing yards he's had since back in October of 2023 on Friday. He threw for 178 yards and three touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes, and also rushed for 72 yards and a touchdown.
Coleman is probably looking forward to his next game, a home matchup against Walsh on Friday. Coleman rushed for 153 yards and three touchdowns on only 13 carries, and also threw for 99 yards and two touchdowns the last time he and the Eagles duked it out back in September of 2023.

Walsh had to settle for second on Friday, but Hudson Gourley sure wasn't going down easily. Gourley turned in nothing short of a gem, throwing for 352 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 11.4 yards per attempt, and also catching a touchdown.
Walsh is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5. Gourley and Walsh will take on Granada at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Grant Mauch Puts an End to Wiley's Losing Streak on Friday
Thanks in part to Grant Mauch, Wiley said goodbye to their 12-game losing streak dating back to last season. Mauch produced his best game of the campaign on Friday: he threw for 125 yards and three touchdowns, and also rushed for 81 yards on only five carries. Those 81 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.
Wiley's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-5. Mauch and Wiley will play host again on Friday to welcome Cheraw, where kickoff is scheduled at 7:00 p.m.
