Soccer Game Preview: Lake Nona vs. Innovation

The Lake Nona Lions will square off against the Innovation Bulls at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Lake Nona is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. Their defense stepped up to hand Evans a 13-0 shutout on Tuesday. The win was nothing new for the Lions as they're now sitting on three straight.

Meanwhile, Innovation put another one in the bag back in December of 2024 to keep their perfect season alive. Everything went their way against Dr. Phillips as Innovation made off with a 7-0 victory. Give the Bulls' defense some credit: that's the team's seventh straight shutout.

Their offense was hitting Dr. Phillips from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Kamila Rodriguez Valles led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

Innovation pushed their record up to 11-0 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 39 goals over those five matches. As for Lake Nona, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-6-1.
