Basketball Recap: Concord Snaps Four-Game Streak of Losses at Home

Concord won the last time they faced Lead Hill and things went their way on Saturday too. The Concord Pirates ended the year with a bang, routing the Lead Hill Tigers 52-30.

Despite the loss, Lead Hill still got an impressive performance from Tesli Johnson, who posted 16 points and five rebounds. That was a full 53.3% of Lead Hill's points, marking the 13th time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.

Concord's victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-14. As for Lead Hill, they dropped their record down to 2-16 with the loss, which was their seventh straight on the road.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Concord will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Timbo at 5:00 p.m. on January 9, 2025. Lead Hill will also get a bit of a break before their next game: they'll face off against Kingston at 4:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Kingston will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Lead Hill surely won't give up without a fight.
