Baseball Recap: Charlotte Sets Scoring Season-High Against D'hanis

Charlotte made up a huge gap compared to their last game against D'Hanis, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Trojans were the clear victors by a 14-5 margin over the Cowboys on Tuesday. The Trojans' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Charlotte got a big performance out of Julian Cruz, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. The dominant performance also gave Cruz a new career-high in hits (two). Another player making a difference was John Cisneros, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Charlotte is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-11 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for D'Hanis, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 9-7.
