Recap: Lawrence Golden Tornadoes vs. Friends Academy Quakers
Sadly, the Lawrence Golden Tornadoes are still looking for their first win of the season after 19 matches. They were dealt a 81-37 loss at the hands of Friends Academy on Thursday. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Lawrence in their matchups with Friends Academy: they've now lost four in a row.
Friends Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kyle Kramer, who scored 23 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. It was the first time this season that Kramer pulled down eight or more rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jake Bock, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 13 assists.
Lawrence's defeat was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-19. As for Friends Academy, the win was the 14th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-4.
Lawrence does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Friends Academy also has no future games currently scheduled.
