Basketball Recap: South Columbus Victorious

South Columbus won the last time they faced Pender and things went their way on Tuesday too. The South Columbus Stallions came out on top against the Pender Patriots by a score of 54-44.

Pender's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ryan Howell, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten boards. Howell has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more blocks the last 13 times he's played. Another player making a difference was Ricky Armstrong, who posted 12 points.

South Columbus' win bumped their record up to 10-5. As for Pender, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-8.

South Columbus wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 66-62 victory against Whiteville on the 30th. As for Pender, they will face off against East Columbus at 7:30 p.m. on February 4th.
