Pinecrest Academy Cadence is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Varsity Opponent 55-3 on Monday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Cougars as it put an end to their seven-game losing streak.

Aspen Larson was the offensive standout of the contest as she made all 8 shots she took to post 16 points. Another player making a difference was Jazmine Davis, who posted eight points.

Meanwhile, Chaparral lost to Eldorado at home by a 43-28 margin on Monday. The Cowboys have struggled against the Firehawks recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Despite the loss, Chaparral saw an underclassman step up: freshman Zamariyah Walker almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine boards. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Walker has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Trinity Leemon, who put up five points in addition to eight boards and eight blocks.

Pinecrest Academy Cadence's victory ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-12. As for Chaparral, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-10.
