Basketball Recap: Founders Classical Academy Hoplites vs. Lifegate Christian Falcons
On Tuesday, the Founders Classical Academy Hoplites's game was all tied up 21-21 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They secured a 47-42 W over Lifegate Christian. The win made it back-to-back wins for Founders Classical Academy.
Founders Classical Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ledger Perrette led the charge by scoring 15 points along with two steals. Perrette hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Joshua Syverson, who scored nine points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Despite the loss, Lifegate Christian still got an impressive performance from Rowe Hansen, who almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine blocks. Hansen is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted two or more in the last five games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Joseph Green, who almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine rebounds.
Founders Classical Academy now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Lifegate Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-8.
Founders Classical Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against the at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Lifegate Christian, they will face off against the Warriors at 1:15 p.m. on Friday. Annapolis Christian Academy is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
