Basketball Recap: Muchin College Prep Comes Up Short

Muchin College Prep lost against Noble Street College Prep back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Muchin College Prep Mountain Lions lost 39-17 to the Noble Street College Prep Golden Tigers.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Noble Street College Prep to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tiffany Gaona, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 14 rebounds. Gaona has been hot recently, having posted ten or more boards the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Sarai Gonzalez, who posted 14 points along with five rebounds and four steals.

Muchin College Prep dropped their record down to 6-7 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Noble Street College Prep, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Muchin College Prep will face off against Pritzker at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Muchin College Prep's defense has only allowed 26.6 points per game this season, so Pritzker's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Noble Street College Prep, they will square off against Baker at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
