Kramer Made His Presence Known in North Putnam's 56-22 Victory

Starting off the list is North Putnam's Christian Kramer, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Kramer rushed for 249 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 13.8 yards per carry, and also threw for 91 yards and two touchdowns. He showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 58 yards.

If the past is any indication, Kramer could be in store for another big game when he takes on Brown County on Friday. When Kramer last faced the Eagles back in October of 2023, he rushed for 101 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries, and also threw for 206 yards and three touchdowns.

Tayt Jackson Crosses Big Stat Threshold

Cloverdale found a leader in Tayt Jackson as the team took down Greencastle on Friday. Jackson made a major impact, picking up 161 receiving yards and two touchdowns, while also rushing for 55 yards and a touchdown on only six carries. The performance once again pushed his average receiving yardage north of 100 yards per game (107). He got the majority of those receiving yards when he pulled down a pass and took off for a gain of 81 yards.

Jackson is probably looking forward to his next game, a home matchup against West Vigo on Friday. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Jackson saw the Vikings), he rushed for 153 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries, and also picked up 56 receiving yards and a touchdown.

Owen Thurman Has Career-Day on Friday

Owen Thurman posted a new career-high in rushing yards on Friday. He rushed for 25 yards and a touchdown.

For the year, Thurman has averaged 8.3 total tackles per game and for the season has 3 interceptions. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he was only averaging one rushing yard per game. This year he is averaging 6.57 rushing yards.

Cloverdale was led to victory by Carson Caulkins, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Caulkins picked up a sack, forced a fumble, and made 13 total tackles.
