Softball Recap: Clermont Northeastern Comes Up Short

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Clermont Northeastern's offense. They fell 4-0 to the Williamsburg Wildcats on Wednesday. The Rockets haven't had much luck with the Wildcats recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Jenna Brown put in work while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing six innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off eight hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two doubles.

Clermont Northeastern's defeat dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Williamsburg, they pushed their record up to 15-3 with the win, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season.

Clermont Northeastern has already played their next match (against New Richmond), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Williamsburg, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 13-1 victory against Georgetown on the 7th.
