Baseball Game Preview: San Marcos Royals vs. Agoura Chargers

The San Marcos Royals will take on the Agoura Chargers in a tournament on Monday. Agoura took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on San Marcos, who comes in off a win.

San Marcos saw some tournament action on Friday. They walked away with a 4-1 win over Camarillo.

Brett Hollowell looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

On the hitting side, San Marcos' victory was truly a team effort as seven different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Mason Crang, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI. That's the most RBI Crang has posted since back in March of 2024. Another was Nate Jones, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, Agoura came up short against Saugus on Friday, falling 15-7. The loss was the Chargers' first of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Agoura fell to 2-1. As for San Marcos, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.
