Basketball Game Preview: Carlson Marauders vs. Grosse Ile Red Devils

Carlson is 2-7 against Grosse Ile since December of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Carlson Marauders will venture away from home to challenge the Grosse Ile Red Devils at 7:00 p.m. Carlson will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

Carlson is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They enjoyed a cozy 51-32 win over Jefferson on Friday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

Meanwhile, Grosse Ile beat Richard 46-33 two weeks ago. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Red Devils.

Carlson's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-2. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.0 points per game. As for Grosse Ile, their victory bumped their record up to 2-4.

Carlson came out on top in a nail-biter against Grosse Ile in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, sneaking past 35-32. The rematch might be a little tougher for Carlson since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
