Football Recap: Los Amigos Comes Up Short

Los Amigos fell victim to Costa Mesa and their airtight defense on Monday. They were outmatched by the Mustangs and fell 44-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Lobos have suffered since September 9, 2024.

Costa Mesa's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Emma Freeland led the charge by throwing for 172 yards and six TDs. The Mustangs' leading receiver Kassandra Ramirez was Freeland's top target yet again, picking up 53 receiving yards and one touchdown, while also punching in a pair of scores on the ground.

Los Amigos is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-3. As for Costa Mesa, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-1.
