Volleyball Recap: Decatur Eisenhower Panthers vs. Carlinville Cavaliers

Decatur Eisenhower was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Carlinville Cavaliers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Panthers of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2021.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-17.

Carlinville can attribute much of their success to Makenah Dugan, who had seven digs and two aces. That's the most aces Dugan has posted in her last 12 games.

Decatur Eisenhower's loss dropped their record down to 6-21. As for Carlinville, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record this season.

Decatur Eisenhower has already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Central A & M on the 5th. As for Carlinville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Greenfield/Northwestern on the 5th.
