Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Willard). They were the clear victor by an 83-58 margin over the Lebanon Yellowjackets on Thursday. With the Tigers ahead 53-27 at the half, the game was all but over already.

When it comes to explaining why Lebanon lost, don't look at Blake Coffman. Despite the final result, he went 5 for 7 on his way to 14 points. Jag Goforth also deserves some recognition as he grabbed his first steal of the season.

Willard's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 7-5. As for Lebanon, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-9.

Willard will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Nixa at 7:00 p.m. Nixa will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something Willard surely won't give up without a fight. As for Lebanon, they will head out to challenge Webb City at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lebanon is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56.8 points per game this season.
