Baseball Game Preview: Heritage Timberwolves vs. Prairie Falcons

For the second straight game, Heritage will face off against Prairie. The Timberwolves will host the Falcons at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Heritage is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak.

On Monday, Heritage didn't have quite enough to beat Prairie and fell 2-1.

For Prairie's part, Isaac Watson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on three hits and racked up nine Ks. Watson also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because the Falcons are undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 4-6 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Prairie's win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Camren McCray, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. That double marked the first that McCray has hit this season.

Prairie's victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-6. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.2 runs on average over those games. As for Heritage, their loss dropped their record down to 4-10.
