Basketball Recap: Maranatha Baptist Academy Takes a Loss

Maranatha Baptist Academy and Clinton Christian Academy squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Maranatha Baptist Academy had to settle for second. They took a 51-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Clinton Christian Academy Patriots.

Clinton Christian Academy found their leader in freshman Parker Lowe, who went 7-for-13 en route to 19 points along with seven rebounds and six steals. Another player making a difference was Raymond Hood, who posted eight points in addition to 11 boards and three blocks.

Maranatha Baptist Academy has traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last ten matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 7-14 record this season. As for Clinton Christian Academy, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-8.

As of now, neither Maranatha Baptist Academy nor Clinton Christian Academy have any future games scheduled.
