Nashville Christian had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They blew past the Davidson Academy Bears 56-28. The Eagles are really starting to get used to good results now that the team has won 11 straight dating back to last season.

TJ Ward was a one-man wrecking crew as he rushed for 194 yards and four touchdowns on only 11 carries. His longest rush was for an impressive 67 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. Another player making a difference was Jared Curtis, who threw for 247 yards and three TDs while completing 87.5% of his passes.

Nashville Christian didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Davidson Academy to a completion percentage of just 50%. The Eagles hasn't an opponent to post a completion percentage of 0.5 or higher in six consecutive contests dating back to last season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games.
