Basketball Recap: Cocoa Comes Up Short at Home Against Astronaut + How To Watch

Cocoa unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They took a 40-32 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Astronaut War Eagles on Monday. Tigers fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the War Eagles since Monday.

Astronaut found their leader in freshman Ja'Layah Anderson, who posted 21 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Scharmain Mitchell, who earned 11 points.

Looking ahead, Cocoa will be playing in front of their home fans against Oak Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Astronaut, they will venture away from home to take on Seabreeze at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
