Volleyball Game Preview: Clearfield Falcons vs. Box Elder Bees

The Clearfield Falcons will head out on the road to face off against the Box Elder Bees at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Clearfield is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Ogden just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 2-1. While the Falcons didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Tigers 25-18 in the first set.

Clearfield came incredibly close to winning: the sets they lost were decided by three points or less. The final score came out to 18-25, 26-24, 15-12.

Meanwhile, Box Elder waltzed into their game on Thursday with three straight wins... but they left with four. Everything went their way against the Wildcats as they made off with a 3-0 victory.

Box Elder's got stronger as the match went on, holding Woods Cross to fewer and fewer points set over set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-19, 25-12.

Clearfield's loss dropped their record down to 11-8. As for Box Elder, they pushed their record up to 13-2 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Clearfield came up short against Box Elder in their previous meeting back in March, falling 3-1. Can the Falcons avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
