Baseball Game Preview: Timnath Cubs vs. Berthoud Spartans

The team relied heavily on Caden Poynter, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 4-for-6. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Brodyn Pafford, who went 2-for-5 with five RBI, two runs, and one double.

Poynter wasn't the only one making solid contact: Timnath kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in three consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, Berthoud waltzed into their game on Tuesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They walked away with a 14-11 victory over the Beetdiggers.

Berthoud's win bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Timnath, the victory got them back to even at 6-6.
