Baseball Recap: Marion County Comes Up Short

Marion County came into their game on Wednesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 12-2 to the Green City Gophers. The matchup marked the Mustangs' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Marion County's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Green City, their win was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-4.

Coincidentally, Marion County and Green City will both be playing Brashear the next time they take the field. The Gophers will host the Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Mustangs will host them at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
