Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Del Oro). They enjoyed a cozy 75-61 win over the Roseville Tigers on Friday. The victory continues a trend for the Golden Eagles in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won five in a row.

Del Oro's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Evan Yarnes, who shot 63% from the field en route to 14 points and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Landen Parry, who went 6-for-12 on his way to 12 points and five boards.

Del Oro smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 12 offensive rebounds in four consecutive contests.

Roseville's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Oreste Yong, who dropped a double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds. Yong is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down ten or more in each of the last seven games he's played dating back to last season. Matthias Howard was another key player, putting up 17 points along with six rebounds and four blocks.

Del Oro's win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Roseville, their record now sits at 2-6.

Del Oro wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 65-60 loss against Antelope on the 13th. As for Roseville, they have also already played their next matchup, a 58-53 defeat against Ponderosa on the 13th.
