For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last three times Glencoe and Forest Grove have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Wednesday. The Crimson Tide narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Vikings 9-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Crimson Tide have posted against the Vikings since April 3, 2023.

Glencoe saw nine different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was August Ware, who went 3-for-5 with four RBI. Another was Lucas Culbertson, who scored a run while going 2-for-5.

Glencoe was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

The win got Glencoe back to even at 4-4. As for Forest Grove, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-2.

Glencoe will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Vikings: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
