Basketball Recap: Holt Takes a Loss

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Holt and Okemos meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Friday. The Holt Rams took a 66-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Okemos Wolves. While losing is never fun, the Rams can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 132nd, while the Wolves are ranked 42nd).

Holt's defeat dropped their record down to 12-14. As for Okemos, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 17-7.

Holt does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Okemos, they will square off against East Lansing at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. East Lansing will roll in looking for their 19th straight win, something Okemos surely won't give up without a fight.
