Softball Recap: Ponderosa Picks Up Sixth Consecutive Victory

Ponderosa extended their winning streak to six on Wednesday, bumping their season record up to 11-8 in the process. They never let the Inderkum Tigers get on the board and left with a 4-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 4-1 on April 8th.

Not much got past Haley Warney, who gave up just two hits to keep Inderkum off the board.

On the hitting side, Kate McCartney was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Molly McFarland, who went 3-for-4 with two runs and one double.

Ponderosa hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in ten consecutive matchups.

As for Inderkum, their defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-13-1. Having soared to a lofty 14 runs in the game before, their shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

On Inderkum's side, they saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Anyssa Luttig, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Coming up, Ponderosa will challenge Bella Vista at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Inderkum does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
