Football Game Preview: Martin Warriors vs. Arlington Colts + Official Tickets

Martin has gone 8-2 against Arlington recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Warriors will welcome the Colts at 7:00 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Thursday.

Having struggled with three defeats in a row, Martin turned things around against Sam Houston on Friday. They claimed a resounding 57-14 victory over the Texans. Considering the Warriors have won three matchups by more than 26 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Javian Jones-Priest continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 125 yards on only eight carries, while also catching two scores. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 110 rushing yards. Another player making a difference was Chase Devoll, who threw for 125 yards and three touchdowns.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Martin was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 217 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 214 rushing yards in three consecutive games.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Arlington). They took their contest on Friday with ease, bagging a 49-7 win over Grand Prairie. The Colts have beaten the Gophers the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Gophers has come to flipping the script.

Martin picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 3-6. As for Arlington, their win bumped their record up to 5-3.

Things could have been worse for Martin, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 49-31 loss to Arlington when the teams last played back in November of 2024.
