Volleyball Recap: La Salle Academy Comes Up Short in High-Profile Matchup with East Providence

La Salle Academy faced East Providence in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Rams fell 3-1 to the Townies.

While La Salle Academy ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 19 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 19-25, 25-19, 25-22.

Jahmir Evans paced La Salle Academy's offense, picking up eight kills. Evans got some help from Cooper Amaral and his 21 assists. Jackson Potter controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Alex Robinson had an outrageously good game for East Providence as he had six digs and two blocks. Those two blocks gave Robinson a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Ean Williamson, who had 11 digs.

La Salle Academy now has a losing record of 7-8. As for East Providence, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-5.

La Salle Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Barrington on the 15th. As for East Providence, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-2 defeat against Bishop Hendricken on the 15th.
