That's the most stolen bases Wood has posted since back in April of 2024. Kayla McGuire was another key player, going 1-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one double.
Watertown's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Upperman, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-7.
Upperman came out on top in a nail-biter against Watertown in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, sneaking past 8-7. The rematch might be a little tougher for Upperman since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
