Weber won the last time they faced Layton and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Warriors won by a goal and slipped past the Lancers 2-1. Given Weber's advantage in MaxPreps' Utah soccer rankings (they are ranked fifth, while Layton are ranked 40th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Jace Rydalch was the driving force of Weber's attack as he scored both of Weber's goals, bringing his season total up to five goals.

The victory made it two in a row for Weber and bumps their season record up to 9-1. As for Layton, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season.
