Football Recap: Casteel Comes Up Short in High-Profile Game with Highland + How To Watch

Casteel faced Highland in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Colts fell 26-20 to the Hawks. The Colts were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Hawks apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2024.

Even if they lost, Casteel's defense still kept up the pressure with three sacks. Brady Casper was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two himself. He also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with six.

Paiden Cash Dalhaug looked great while leading his team to the win, throwing for 187 yards and a pair of TDs, while also punching in one score on the ground. Highland also got a significant boost from Cayman Mullenaux, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 107 yards.

Casteel dropped their record down to 3-3 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Highland, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Casteel will venture away from home to face off against Desert Vista at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Colts' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Highland, they will head out to take on Horizon at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
