Baseball Recap: Patrick Henry Takes a Loss

Patrick Henry lost against San Marcos back in May of 2016, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Patriots fell just short of the Knights by a score of 4-3.

Preston Conklin made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI. That double marked the first that he hit this season.

Patrick Henry has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-4-1 record this season. As for San Marcos, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-2.

Patrick Henry has already played their next contest, a 4-3 victory against Del Norte on the 1st. As for San Marcos, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 4-4 tie against Granite Hills on the 1st.
