Basketball Recap: Loranger Has No Trouble Against Springfield

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Pine, Loranger was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They blew past the Springfield Bulldogs 48-28. The score was close at the half, but the Wolves pulled away in the second half with 33 points.

When it comes to explaining why Springfield lost, don't look at Nickaiya Martin. Despite the final result, she posted 14 points. That was a full 50% of Springfield's points, marking the fifth time in a row she's scored more than a third of the team's points.

The victory got Loranger back to even at 7-7. As for Springfield, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-7 record this season.

Loranger wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 58-35 defeat against Mandeville on the 10th. As for Springfield, they will square off against Varnado at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
