Football Recap: Lewis County Comes Up Short + How To Watch

It was a proper cat-fight when Lewis County faced off against Bath County on Friday. The Lions took a 14-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats. The Lions lost against the Wildcats in their previous head to head back in September of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 42-12 score last time.

Lewis County's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Bath County, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lewis County will welcome Fleming County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Lions will be up against the Panthers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 33 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Bath County, they will be playing at home against East Carter at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Raiders will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Wildcats surely won't give up without a fight.
