Softball Game Preview: Avon Orioles vs. Columbus East Olympians

The Avon Orioles will head out to challenge the Columbus East Olympians at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Avon is headed into the match having just suffered their biggest defeat since April 11th on Tuesday. They lost 10-0 to Zionsville. The Orioles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Avon saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ada Dittemore, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double.

Meanwhile, Columbus East was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Floyd Central.

Avon's defeat dropped their record down to 5-15. As for Columbus East, their loss dropped their record down to 6-13.
