Baseball Recap: Plymouth's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Plymouth put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Two Rivers Purple Raiders an 8-0 shutout. The Panthers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Purple Raiders, too.

Charlie Nass looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Brett Shutter, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. What's more, he posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Jackson Neilitz, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Plymouth's victory was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-0.

Plymouth and Two Rivers will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Panthers are set to face off against their familiar foe Kewaskum at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Two Rivers will take on rival New Holstein at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
