Baseball Recap: New Hanover's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

It's playoff time, and New Hanover had no trouble coming through when it counted. They walked away with a 7-2 win over the Chapel Hill Tigers on Tuesday. Seven seems to be a good number for the Wildcats as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

The win (which was New Hanover's third in a row) raised their record to 15-9. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.0 runs over those games. As for Chapel Hill, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-8.

Coming up, New Hanover will take on D.H. Conley on Friday. The Vikings will roll in looking for their 22nd straight win, something the Wildcats surely won't give up without a fight. Chapel Hill does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
