Basketball Game Preview: Hesperia Christian Patriots vs. Riverside Prep Silver Knights

The Hesperia Christian Patriots will head out to square off against the Riverside Prep Silver Knights at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hesperia Christian will be strutting in after a win while Riverside Prep will be coming in after a defeat.

Last Tuesday, Hesperia Christian didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Academy for Academic Excellence, but they still walked away with a 54-48 victory.

Meanwhile, Riverside Prep ended up a good deal behind Silver Valley on Tuesday and lost 79-62.

Riverside Prep's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 3-6. As for Hesperia Christian, their win ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-6.

Hesperia Christian was able to grind out a solid victory over Riverside Prep in their previous meeting back in January, winning 61-51. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Riverside Prep's Raoul Churchill, who went 10 for 24 on his way to 31 points and three steals.
