BROGAN BENES's Big Game Leads Boone Central over St. Paul

Starting off the list is Boone Central's BROGAN BENES, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. BENES rushed for 283 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.4 yards per carry. Those 283 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.

The win (which was Boone Central's fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-2. BENES and Boone Central will take on Grand Island Central Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Grayson Sack posted a new career-high in rushing yards on Friday. He rushed for 127 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries, and also threw for 228 yards and two touchdowns. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 70 yards.

The victory was the fifth in a row for Grand Island Central Catholic, bringing their record for this year to 6-1. Sack and Grand Island Central Catholic will take on Boone Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Jordan Williams was a major factor in Ord's win over Centura on Friday. Williams did his part (and then some), rushing for 113 yards and two touchdowns on only five carries, while also throwing for 119 yards and a touchdown on perfect 5-for-5 passing for the 'W'. His longest rush was for an incredible 73 yards.

This season, Williams has thrown 11 touchdowns while averaging 112.6 passing yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he was only averaging two rushing yards per game. This year he is averaging 85.29 rushing yards.

A Season-Best Performance from Axel Escalante Leads Grand Island Central Catholic over Cross County

Grand Island Central Catholic was led to victory by Axel Escalante, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Escalante rushed for 89 yards and a touchdown on only 11 carries, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, forcing a fumble and making four total tackles (2.0 for loss).

For the season, Escalante has run in 3 touchdowns while averaging 29.3 rushing yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he had one rushing touchdown.
